This collection was created over the course of three years during my travels back to Michigan—a place that shaped much of who I am. Each image was captured through the car window with a Fuji X100, taken in passing while driving, chasing familiar roads and memories.
Even at 60 miles per hour, something about these homes made me look closer. They reminded me of the life I grew up around—the quiet beauty in small towns, the traces of stories written across front porches and weathered paint. Later, as I revisited the images, I found an unexpected depth in what I had only glimpsed for a second.
These photographs are a reflection of motion and memory—a portrait of ordinary life and the untold stories that live within it. They remind me how much beauty exists in what we so easily pass by.
